Write a story, How to write a story Camps | WritingWithKidz

Reimagine Summer Fun

Imagine your children becoming published authors!

Your child will spend 1 - 2 hours everyday with their fellow creators exploring their ideas and honing their story-telling skills.  By the end of the program your child will have written a complete book, which WritingWithKidz will publish and mail it to you.

Our camps are built for children ages 6 - 12 . . . and we always team them up in creative cohorts of 4 - 6 kids of similar ages, so they can bond with each other.  Facilitated by tutors, kids get to explore different ideas with friends and transform their imagination into stories.

Virtual Summer Camp 2002

Our story-writing camps are offered in one-week blocks.  Choose the week that works best for your child or choose multiple weeks.  Our story-writing curriculum is not repeated, so every week the creative cohort will write a new story and learn about new story-writing techniques.

How It Works!

Brainstorm

Your child joins the creative group via zoom and explores mutliple ideas to start their story. Your child gets to learn about their friends in the group and their shared passion of books, movies or games.

Develop

Your child is supported by the other members of their group while they develop the story. During this process they add details to the story while they collaboratively learn the techniques of good storytelling.

Finalize

Your child goes deeper into the storytelling process and learns to embellish their story with specific elements that hooks the reader. With guidance from the tutors your child completes their story.
